Either you had major FOMO or you attended Coachella this year. From all the Instagram posts to Beyonce’s performance, Coachella seemed like the place we all wanted to be. Unfortunately, I did not attend this year so threw myself a Coachella brunch and called it Beyondchella! 😀 I had all my girlfriends come dressed in their festival outfits while we celebrated over food and drinks.
Thankfully that Sunday the weather in DC was perfect so a rooftop was the way to go. We went to Takoda for brunch and later to 801 (across the street) for drinks. I loved their toast and frose (frozen rose), so delicious! The mimosas were not so tasty, so if you go get yourself a frose or any other drink instead.
The VIP passes and wristbands gave brunch the Coachella theme vibes I wanted. I designed both the VIP passes and wristbands using Picmonkey.com. Then, went to staples to have the passes cut + laminated and the wristbands printed on water-resistant paper, how legit? At one point, we were walking over to 801 when someone yelled, “this isn’t Coachella!” My heart was so warm LOL because I was like, yes they got the idea! We really did look like we were lost looking for Coachella but that was the whole theme so I was happy!
Next year, I will for sure plan way in advance so I can make it out to Palm Springs and celebrate my birthday at Coachella.
Thank you to all for the birthday wishes ♥ & thanks so much for reading and I hope I gave you some ideas if you ever want to plan a Coachella theme brunch!
