Wowzers, can you believe it’s been a year since I launched Beyond Her Curls? Never in a million years did I think I’d start my own blog, I have always loved reading other blogs but just didn’t think I’d be able to with such a busy schedule. I am beyond happy I did! Blogging is something I enjoy doing and even though it’s actually more work than I ever thought, I love every minute of it. I have met so many awesome people and attended so many amazing events and it has been all because of my little space on the internet.
I remember starting BHC without any knowledge about the blogging world; I just sat down one day and started writing my very first post. My pictures weren’t the best and my page layout not the greatest but through the months I learned little by little and later invested in a good camera. Thank YOU for following my little journey and for all the sweet comments/messages I always receive; really warms my heart and keeps me going!
To celebrate my blog’s birthday, I had a brunch with my gal pals. We went to one of my favorite brunch places; District Commons in Washington, D.C. I wanted to make this brunch really special, especially since these ladies have been there supporting me through it all, so I made name tags for each and had cards placed on each plate. I wanted everything to be personalized– name tags, cupcake toppers, photo booth props, and card placements so what better way than to make them all? 🙂 I used Picmonkey.com to make everything!
