When life gets hectic, we often forget to make time for what we all need, a little relaxation while getting pampered! Getting a manicure and pedicure should always be a girl’s day thing. It’s the perfect time to catch up with your girlfriends (or even mom). Since you’re getting your nails done, phones aren’t out and you can talk life away!
On Tuesday, one of my good friends, Cesi and I visited the nailsaloon in Washington, D.C. Even before walking into the salon, Cesi and I loved it. Outside the door hung a sign that said, “Come on in, beautiful. The nailsaloon is open.” How cute? The first thing when walking in is their waiting area which looks more like a lounge. You don’t get the typical nail salon feel for sure. The salon does not smell like nail polish or all those chemicals at a typical nail shop either.
The manager at the front desk was so sweet and welcoming. She asked us to choose our colors and then we were seated at our stations. They have complementary beverages, um hello! Not just water or tea, more like coffee, pops, brews, and some vino too! Seriously, getting your nails done while sipping on some wine? #WINNING
The nailsaloon is a 5-free nail salon, which means they do not use any harsh chemicals. As a result of this, they do not provide gel or acrylic services (ladies, take a break from those and let your nails breathe)! I opted for the Saloon Mani which includes: nail shaping, cuticle care, sugar scrub (made in house), hot cream, an oil treatment, and color finish. Marnae, my technician took awesome care of me. She really took her time and made sure I was comfortable at all times. I later found her on Instagram through nailsaloon‘s Instagram account and her nail art designs are amazing, I’ll defeinately be back!. 🙂
So if you are in the DC area, be sure to book your appointment at the nailsaloon on your next girl’s day. They are open until 9PM on the weekdays so it can be a place you meet for happy hour too. You will definitely have a great time without the craziness of a crowded salon feel, while you sip on your wine or coffee for those early mornings.
Thank you to nailsaloon for the complimentary services provided. All opinions are my own.
