Some rules are meant to be broken. Wearing white after labor day? That’s one rule I’ll always break. If white pieces are worn the right way in the fall, then there’s no reason not to wear white. It’s all about learning how to transition into fall with your summer pieces. Fall is all about neutrals and dark colors so being able to either layer pieces or have accessories that incorporate these colors, you are pairing your whites the right way.
It’s crazy to think that right after Labor Day, the weather in DC just dropped. I wasn’t ready to let go of summer just yet. It’s not too cold yet so I can still wear light airy pieces with maybe a cardigan for those chilly mornings. I purchase this top Labor Day weekend because it’s perfect for the cooler temperature. The top is still light weight but long sleeve in case I get chilly. Clearly, you can tell the white after labor day doesn’t apply to me. I accessorized this white top with more neutral and dark colors to bring in those fall vibes. Peep the bag and shoes!
When the temperatures do get cooler, you can wear your white tops with a leather jacket and a pair of booties. Another way is a statement scarf and over the knee boots. Remember, just bring in those fall vibes with the right colored accessories, even that nail polish color!
