When we booked our flights to LA, we decided we wanted to stay in downtown LA. We knew we wanted to visit Venice beach, the Griffith Park, Universal Studios, and surrounding areas. This meant staying in the middle of all these places. We also desired a hotel that provided complimentary breakfast so we weren’t searching every morning for a new spot to eat, we just wanted to head downstairs in comfy loungewear without everyone having to get ready. The Marriott Residence Inn L.A. Live was the ideal hotel for us.
We landed in LA around noon and we called to ask if we could get an early check-in, they immediately said yes and that they would get our room ready for us. When we arrived to the hotel, the lobby alone was beautiful! We were greeted by a friendly welcoming staff. The lobby smelled so good and you might find that weird that I point this out but seriously it did.
LOBBY
They have a cafe in the lobby that serves Starbucks coffee!
They have a cozy seating area where you can wait for an Uber or simply until your room is ready if you do arrive early.
I love their purple lighting at night!
HOTEL ROOM
The rooms were very well-kept and spacious. We stayed in a Queen/Queen Studio Suite. The beds were so comfy. Every time I do stay at a Marriott hotel though, I never have to worry about their beds because they are all very comfy.
It was five girls and we never had an issue with mirrors because everywhere you turned you had a mirror 🙂 PLUS FOR US!
COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST
Okay, my favorite part? COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST! Let me tell you, this wasn’t a free bagel/croissant with dry cereal in the corner type breakfast, we’d make chocolate chip every single morning! My cousin and I would get so excited to fall asleep just to wake up the next morning and make our waffles 😀 They had a fruit salad bar, freshly cooked turkey sausage, eggs, home fries (they were so delicious), and everything you can think of. It didn’t matter what time we’d get in the night before, we were always up by 8:30 am to make it in time for breakfast.
POOL VIEWS
We were able to enjoy the pool our last day in LA. Had the weather been warmer, I would’ve probably tanned but for me, it was way too cold. The pool was heated for all the brave souls who do not mind a little bit of a cool breeze when they get out of the water. I did love their cabanas and round beds. We enjoyed our drinks while we listened to music, so tranquil!
The view at night was breathtaking!
I will definitely be staying here next time I visit LA. Thank you so much to the front desk staff who were all so sweet to my girlfriends and me!
